CHICANO CALENDAR Celebrating The Diversity Del Arte Chicano The Chicano Calendar Aņo Tochtli ~ 2007 is a Civic Consultants production in collaboration with 0101Aztlan.net. Recent activities targeting Chicano Art in several communities inspired Ernest M. Saenz, director of Civic Consultants, to respond by initiating the development of more artistic projects that proclaim the value of not only art, but Chicano Art. The twelve artists represented in your Chicano Calendar - Aņo Tochtli - 2007 include some of our culture's luminaries, and some of our young hands. You’ll immediately recognize a style here, a signature there, as you turn the page delighted to see a familiar hand. Other months, you’ll recognize obvious promise from artists you did not know, but whose work you'll now recognize, for years to come. Along with each work, you'll find a biographical capsule, an artist's statement, and a way to connect: the artist's website address.
